While there are plans to introduce mergers, community manager Luxendra explained that there are a number of action items that must be addressed before the team can be confident that merging worlds will result in a net positive experience for our players. According to a lengthy update posted on the official forum, We need to put our technology through its paces to see how well it performs. When we were in Closed Beta, we were experimenting with world merges, which resulted in a persistent issue that has since been resolved. In the post, it was stated that we were continuing to test world merges with our team and non-public worlds, and that any changes would be tested in The Public Test Realm starting the following morning (Monday). Not only that, but there's more to it than that. Details on region and server transfers, as well as issues with Luck and the inability to declare war, were all covered in detail in the latest update. Representativeness and character design were two other topics covered. We intend to continue to add more outfit variety, both in terms of cultural and narrative driven looks, in the future; some will be more grounded, historical, and functional in nature, while others will be more whimsical or supernatural in nature, as explained in a blog post published today by New World's community manager. With each new outfit, we strive to achieve the perfect balance in our search for the ultimate look. While designing, we prefer to make a dramatic statement rather than risk appearing too conservative, especially when it comes to artistic expression. The result of this approach may include a few elements that appear bizarre to some, but it almost always results in a much more evocative and interesting visual space, one that we hope is unique in its own right. Furthermore, according to the team's latest blog post, they intend to add outfits with a more feminine or masculine appearance that can be worn by people of all body types, as well as increase the number of options available to players for customizing the appearance of their character. To recap, Amazon announced last week that it would take remediation measures against Cheap new world gold Coins For Sale players who abused the recently discovered coin duplication bug to the point of causing it to duplicate coins multiple times. As you might expect, players in the MMO discovered a coin/item duplication bug while participating in player trading, and they took full advantage of the situation. Therefore, Amazon was forced to temporarily suspend all trading activities while it sought a solution to the problem at hand. We recognize that the ability to trade and improve settlements is an important and enjoyable aspect of our game that should be preserved, as stated by community manager Luxendra in a forum post at the time of the announcement. Participants in the game who took advantage of the coin/item dupe issue have been banned from the game indefinitely. The PC version of NW coins has seen a significant drop in player numbers, despite reaching an impressive all-time concurrent peak of just shy of a million players on the 3rd of October. This is less than a month after the game was released on the PC platform. Player inquiries about server merges prompted a response from Cheap new world gold developer Kay last week, who stated categorically that they are on the horizon without providing any further details on when players can expect them to take place. As of today, server merge testing on the Public Test Realm (PTR) was made available to the general public, thereby completing the first step on the road to server merges. Luxendra went into great detail about a couple of other transfer-related topics in a blog post outlining the upcoming PTR server merge. Additional server transfers will be implemented in phases, with the first phase addressing edge cases, in which some players were unable to use their transfer tokens due to technical difficulties. In spite of a few persistent issues with the server transfers, according to the team, the team was able to learn some valuable lessons about how to deal with these issues more effectively in the future. |
