For what it's worth, I hope I do not find yourself in Bruges, either. Starring Brendan Gleeson, Colin Farrell, and Ralph Fiennes. Directed by Martin McDonagh. POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING: You have been warned. A theatre response can normally tell how good or bad a film was, it doesn't matter what opinion I might have. The response from this movie was silence. Maybe it's the world and the films we've grown up on here, or maybe we didn't know how to gauge it. There are things I liked about this movie, and things I was unsure of. Read my evaluate for other movie right here Bad Movies of the 1960's: Paint Your Wagon - review by 123Movies. The story is about Ken (Gleeson) a pro hit-man and his new associate Ray (Farrell). After a job in killing a priest will get botched (a child will get shot within the head) each are informed by their boss Harry (Fiennes) to get to Bruges. There Ken takes within the scenery and does the vacationer thing while Ray tries discovering methods of getting his kicks and on the same time, battling the inner demon of by chance killing a kid. They're to be there for 2 weeks till their employer decides what to do. Ray walks round and gets interested in a movie being shot there due to a) a cute girl he desires to be with and 2) the film has a dwarf. Complications occur when Harry calls Ken and tells him to off Ray the next day. When Ken begins to go through with killing Ray, Ray is about to commit suicide. This adjustments issues and Harry travels to Bruges, hell-bent on killing Ray and Ken. This film starts sluggish, but begins choosing up halfway through. Gleeson, Farrell, and Fiennes do nicely because the characters they should play. The only real downside I had with the movie is... I favored it, however cannot say that I loved it. There are humorous moments and I cannot fault the movie for having a narrative (which is a criticism I have on plenty of movies). It's simply that there was somberness as everybody walked out of the theatre. Maybe it needs a second viewing. Reason to see this film: it's a totally different kind of hitman "darkish comedy." Reason to not see this movie: you're not into indie/overseas or pondering movies. Or hitman movies. |
